The Queensland Launch of National Skills Week occurred on Wednesday 23 August  at Queensland Parliament House.

The program included

  • A Key Note Address by The Hon. Dianne Farmer, Minister for  Employment and Small Business, Minister for Training and Skills Development and Minister for Youth Justice
  • Brian Wexham, Chair National Skills Week and CEO SkillsOne Television opening remarks
  • The Worldskills Passing of the flag to the Minister for the 2025 National Championship Host State
  • Panel  Discussion that included the Gold Medalist WorldSkills – Restaurant service Elliana (Elli) McRae , John Tucker CEO TAFE QLD, and Joanna Minchinton, General Manager – QLD Business Chamber Workplace Relations, People & Culture
    who spoke on success through VET, skills future, initiatives, and programs to meet the needs of industry
