Held during National Skills Week, this event brings together students, educators, and industry to celebrate the power of practical learning, industry connections, and future-focused career opportunities.

Students from NSW Department of Education High Schools across the Northern Rivers region will be participating in this regional event, demonstrating their skills and competing across a range of vocational areas including:
• Hospitality – Food & Beverage
• Cookery
• Construction – Carpentry
• Primary Industries – Livestock
• Business Services
• Augmented Reality Welding

Guests will:
• Witness live skills-based competitions
• Tour the VET Hub and learning spaces
• Experience a set-menu lunch service prepared and delivered by our Hospitality students

The VET MiniSkills Challenge is more than a showcase — it’s a celebration of ambition, applied learning, and the career potential of our young people. It highlights the importance of partnerships between schools, industry, and community in building a skilled workforce for the future on the Far North Coast.

We welcome educators, industry representatives, and community members to join us in supporting and celebrating our region’s emerging talent.

Let’s inspire the next generation of skilled professionals — together.
