WorldSkills Tasmania – Cabinetmaking Competition

WorldSkills is a fantastic competition, which highlights VET learnings and Skills Excellence during their Showcase.
A large number of the events will be held during National Skills Week, where students around Australia will compete.

Start Your Journey with WorldSkills Australia! The WorldSkills Competitions are a one-day event, designed to test your skills and knowledge against other apprentices, trainees and students!
Are you keen to develop your skills and test yourself against others in your field? Competing in a WorldSkills Australia Regional Competition can open up a whole new world of opportunities.

WorldSkills Australia competitions are Australia’s biggest vocational education and excellence competitions. Every two years, more than 500 regional competitions are held in 34 regions across Australia. They see vocationally-trained participants challenge themselves to achieve excellence against their peers in practical skills challenges designed by industry experts.
Winning a regional competition could take you to the national competitions to compete against Australia’s best trades and skills talent. In 2023, Team Tasmania won five silver medals at the WorldSkills Australia National Championships.

Competitors have the opportunity to win gold, silver or bronze medals and gain the chance to go on to compete at a national and international level, all participants will receive a certificate of participation to add to their resume.
The 2024 WorldSkills competition round will run across the country from Feb – Nov 2024, with the next National Championship being held in 2025.
