Do you know what you want to be when you grow up?
The Illawarra Schools Trades Roadshow provides Year 9 and 10 students with an opportunity for HANDS-ON experience of over 30 trade careers and vocations on offer in our region.

Focusing on training and development and maximising the potential of youth in our region, the Trades Roadshow educates students on the wide range of opportunities available when they leave school & head into the workforce. They will be better informed to select pathways for completing their senior secondary schooling including VET courses, training & flexible learning pathways.

Tradespeople from a diverse range of vocations will be presenting over 30 interactive experiences and will ‘coach’ students on simple tasks including: virtual reality, CPR, sushi-making, audio mixing & light operations, bricklaying, music, retail, electrotechnology, laboratory skills, floristry, flight simulation, permaculture, architectural drafting, outdoor education & fitness, welding, mechanical engineering, hairdressing, nursing, childcare, automotive, animal science, horticulture, business admin, maritime, carpentry, plumbing, digital media, librarian and so much more.
