Girls Big Day Out is an annual event that introduces Year 9 girls to non-traditional career options in trades.
The girls from various Secondary schools in the Geelong region will spend the day gaining hands on experience from our specialist educators in a range of trade activities which may include: Automotive, Bricklaying, Cabinet Making, Electrotechnology, Engineering, Information Technology, Painting and Horticulture.
Girls Big Day Out is an invaluable tool for emphasising the importance of women in trades as well raising awareness of the skills required and the many opportunities available for a successful future career.
