The Global Footprints Awards Night celebrates 25 new scholars (9 horticulture, 11 skilled trades and 5 agriculture) chosen from the highest number of applications since the pandemic.

These new scholars, aged 18-25, come from Victoria, NSW, Queensland, Tasmania, Western Australia and South Australia. Their commitment to creating a more sustainable world is the strongest we have seen so far, and their horizons for their Global Footprints Scholarships span from the Pacific Region to Asia, Africa, Europe, South and North America. We just can’t wait to see these journeys unfold!

The 2024 Awards Night also marks 40 years of our scholarship program.  Since 1984 we have provided more than 1,100 young Australians with the opportunity to travel overseas for industry experience. With each decade our program evolved to ensure relevance to industry and, most importantly, to provide value to young people on their way to becoming leaders for a better world.

Among our alumni, we find trailblazers who have launched global careers, making significant impacts in their respective fields. Some have become nationally and internationally acclaimed personalities, using their platforms to inspire others. Many have set up successful businesses, contributing to the economy, advancing their industry and creating jobs. Others have chosen the path of education, becoming dedicated teachers who have nurtured hundreds of young people, passing on their knowledge and experiences to the next generation.

The awards night will be held on the 26th August, at Doltone House, Sydney
