Almost every week a class of 17 adult VET students complete a skill set in Competitive Systems and Practices using the Elphinstone Simulated Work Environment (the SWE) in South Burnie Tasmania.
One of only three training facilities of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere and the only facility in Australia, the SWE is an interactive training system used to promote Lean Production System principals and enhance continuous improvement initiatives. The qualification is delivered by Productivity Improvers on behalf of the Australian Maritime College RTO 60131.
