October 26th, 2026

Seven days, every state and territory and one very simple idea; Skills Change Lives.

National Skills Week 2026 has drawn to a close and we wanted to acknowledge all those that make it possible.  A national campaign of this size runs on belief as much as budget. Twenty nine partners backed National Skills Week 2026, industry, alongside Government and Media and Sector Supporters and we are grateful for this support.

A few moments we won’t forget;

We had over 9 million impressions, 4 million video views, 52% follower growth, and our first NSW Conference Day was a real highlight.

Ministers, industry leaders and the Vet Alumni in one room in Canberra for our National launch.

Ministers spoke in every state and territory that held an event.  The NSW Government chose the week to announce an $11.6 million expansion of Educational Pathways Program, reaching 7,500 more students a year. The first National Skills Agreement scorecard landed mid-week. In Queensland, the Government pointed to $1.6biliion for trade, employment and training in the 2026-2027 State Budget.

The 2026 Schools Kit reached schools nationally with the support of the Department of Education, Independent Schools and Catholic Schools.  NSW public schools also report record vocational enrolments on day one of the week.

And our Skillaroos took centre stage. We built this year’s week around Australia’s Skillaroos and the team heading to the Worldskills Competition in Shanghai. They joined us at events around the country, told their stories and got acknowledgement they have well and truly earned.  Our thanks to Worldskills Australia for making it happen.

Save the date 23-29 August 2027 when National Skills Week returns in 2027 for its 17th year. We are excited about what comes next, new formats, expanding opportunities and new ways to connect. Our Partnership Prospectus for 2027 is now ready. If you would like to be part of it talk to us. Thank you for a life changing week.
