Sydney Catholic Schools is proud to showcase the success of our School-Based Education Support Traineeship Program — an inspiring initiative that supports students completing their Certificate III in School-Based Education Support while working one day a week in our Catholic primary schools.

This event is a celebration of a powerful and growing partnership between our secondary colleges, primary schools, and Sydney Catholic Schools. It highlights how we are “growing our own” future teachers by giving students authentic, meaningful experience in classrooms while they complete their HSC.

Secondary students who are passionate about working with children and considering a future in education will:

Hear directly from current trainees about their learning and work experiences

Learn how the program builds skills, confidence, and a clear career pathway into teaching

Discover how a school-based traineeship fits within their senior study program

Primary school leaders and teachers will:

Learn how to host and mentor a school-based trainee
