National Skills Week 2017 was launched in TAS on Thursday 24th August at TAS TAFE Drysdale House, by the Hon. Matthew Groom MP, Minister for State Growth, Minister for Energy, Minister for Environment and Parks, Acting Attorney-General and Acting Minister for Justice in the Tasmanian Government. Founder of National Skills Week and SkillsOne CEO, Brian Wexham hosted the event which enjoyed speaking appearances by TCCI CEO Michael Bailey, ATA Simon Wiggins, ICOMOS Anne McConnell and WorldSkills Australia former Skillaroos. The afternoon proceedings celebrated this years theme “More Than You Know” and featured meal preeration and service by students from TasTAFE.
