The Hon Jeremy Rockliff MP Tasmanian Minister for Education and Training officially launched National Skills Week in Tasmania at a private cocktail function at TasTAFE on August 31.
The evening’s proceedings celebrated the many skills and trades that make up the state, and discourse encourged more people to choose a VET study pathway.
SkillsOne General Manager Kirstin Casey hosted the event, CEO of TasTAFE Stephen Conway made a formal address, and fashion students from TasTAFE presented an up-beat fashion show.
2015 Australian Apprentice of the Year Finalist Joshua Dales, and 2016 WorldSkills Australia National Finalist Bradley Clark both made special appearances on the night, sharing their inspiring career journeys through VET.
