This year’s theme of National Skills Week is The Magical Mystery Tour of Skills which was showcased in a fun and inspiration show for career advisers, teachers and parents on Monday, August 25th at NIDA.
The event was opened by The Hon. Susan Ley, Assistant Minister for Education and showcased an array of different skills by students from TAFEs, Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and Group Training Organisations (GTOs).
It was informative, inspiring, entertaining and…pure magic! The theatrical presentation demonstrated career options in all sectors including health care, construction, hospitality and more. Following the show, speakers from industry and the sector provide careers advisers with information and resources that can be used when advising students and parents.
The Showcase was filmed and will be distributed as part of a webinar throughout September.
