National Skills Week was launched on Wednesday 24 August at the Queen Victoria Markets in Melbourne by the Hon Karen Andrews MP, Assistant Minister for Vocational Education and Skills.
This year’s National Skills Week aimed to challenge people to think about how much they really know about Vocational Education and Training, the progression opportunities, and the rapidly changing jobs market.
The night featured creative displays by students and staff from Chisholm, Kangan, Box Hill, Federation Training, WorldSkills Australia, Impact Robotics and The Gordon and performances from the Australian Institute of Music (AIM).
The evening was hosted by Brian Wexham founder of National Skills Week and attended by guests included the Hon Karen Andrews MP, Assistant Minister for Vocational Education and Skills, the Hon Steven Herbert MP, Victoria Minister for Training and Skills, International Education, and Corrections, Australian Training Awards Alumni, Australian Apprenticeship Ambassadors, students, parents and supporters of the VET sector.
