The community and partners of Southern Cross Catholic Vocational College (SCCVC) are in celebration mode having won the 2015 ‘School Pathways to VET’ Australian Training Award. This prestigious National Award was announced as 800 people gathered in Hobart.

The Awards Dinner is a tremendous celebration of the richness of Vocational Education and Training, of outstanding skills and talent, of the brightest and best-individuals and organisations demonstrating excellence in work, in training, in doing ordinary things in an extraordinary way.

SCCVC Principal, Patrick O’Reilly, is effusive in his praise: ‘Having been a finalist for this Award in 2011, and Winner of the Award in 2013, winning again speaks eloquently about the further development and improvement we have realised in the past 2 years. Being only in our 6th year of operation, the Award is a testament to the hundreds of Business and Industry partners, staff, students and families, the Catholic Education Office staff and our Advisory Board-past and present-to their belief in and commitment to the best and most authentic pathways we can enable for our young men and women….the next skillful generation of adults.

The greatest achievements of SCCVC are found in the stories of the young people whose lives and careers have been enriched, engaged and enabled, built on the transformative commitment and dedication of the SCCVC staff.

The College still has some limited places for Year 11 2016; for those interested in and committed to an excellent Applied learning pathway through the HSC, visit www.sccvc.nsw.edu.au.
