Communities at Work is a public company limited by guarantee and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. We employ over 600 employees, engage over 100 self-employed Family Day Care and In-Home Care educators and harness the passionate commitment of almost 100 volunteers to help us carry out our mission of enriching lives today and shaping better futures tomorrow.

Our surplus-for-purpose philosophy enables us to invest every dollar we earn right back into the Canberra community, including the provision of much-needed essential support such as food, clothing and accommodation assistance to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged members of our community.
