The 27th National Vocational Education and Training Research Conference ‘No Frills’ begins this Wed 15 August until Fri 17 August 2018 at Aerial UTS Function Centre, Sydney.

The theme this year is ‘Skills for a global future: working and learning together’. The program has a strong focus on how our skills needs are changing in an increasingly automated world.

The event is going international for the first time this year, with the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) sharing hosting duties with New Zealand partners the Industry Training Federation and Ako Aotearoa.

Included in the program is an address by The Hon Karen Andrews MP, Assistant Minister for Vocational Education and Skills, keynote presentations by internationally renowned researcher Professor Lene Tanggaard (Denmark) and leading economist Dr Andrew Charlton, and a dinner presentation by AFL Hall of Fame Legend and Australian Apprenticeship Ambassador, Kevin Sheedy.
